Erasmus Asare joined Kikam Technical Institute as an I.C.T tutor and took over as Acting Head in the Department of Information and Communication Technology in 2015, having taught in Asanco Model School for 7 years before then. He rose to the position of Head of I.C.T Department in 2016. He is a product of Fiaseman Senior High School, Tarkwa. He graduated from Akrokerri College of Education in 2008 and from the University of Education, Winneba in 2012 with Diploma in Education and Bachelor of Education respectively. In 2008, whereas he was in his final year of his college education, he pursued a diploma programme in Computer Hardware at Black Santiago Computer Institute. Also, he learned Microsoft Office Suite and Computer Graphic Design at Humble Beginning Computer Institute in Obuasi. In February, 2012, he was trained and certified by SuperLock Technologies Limited (STL) and Electoral Commission of Ghana to be a Key Trainer for the Biometric Voter Registration Kit. In 2013, he was trained in SQL, PL/SQL and Oracle Apex by a computer expert, Mr. Emmanuel Kant Perterson of Ghana Community Network, Accra for Oracle Database Development. He continued to study and acquired certificates of proficiency in Network Management and Engineering, Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) and Computer Programing with Java from University of Mines and Technology in 2014 to augment his knowledge in information Technology.
Erasmus has worked for Electoral Commission of Ghana as Deputy Returning Officer, a Key Trainer and Technician for a couple of years now. He is an I.C.T Examiner and also provides IT Consultation, IT Training, Computer Hardware Maintenance and Networking services to individuals, schools, banks and corporate institutions. Currently, he is done with his thesis in Information Technology and waiting for the award of Master of Science degree in Information Technology from Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST).
